I have stated at other times that God talks to me, and He does. He tells me things about me mainly, not about others – God doesn’t gossip, and neither should we because it’s a sin:
“Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor; I am the Lord” (Lev 19:16).
His Word provides us with very clear, and succinct instructions to do just the opposite, for Christians who merely patronize those who are evil are in essence as guilty of the same evil they refuse to speak against!
“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Ps 19:16).
We are called to good works;
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:10).
” And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt 28:18-20).
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matt 12:36-37).
Anyway, what I was getting at is that last night God said to me, “It makes me very happy to see my people stand up against the world for my Son.”
I thought “Great, but why is He telling me this?” All I can say is at the end of this article was the following scripture that hit me real hard, reminding me of what He told me last night.
“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Ps 94:16).
So I have to ask you, “How would you answer God’s question?”

Revelation 5
The Book of the Lamb
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
“Written within and on the backside” – like the stone tablets of the Old Testament covenant law (Ex 32:15; see Eze 2:9-10). The fibers of papyrus scroll run horizontally on the inside, which makes writing easier than on the reverse side (where the fibers are vertical).
“Sealed with seven seals” – indicating absolute inviolability (cf. Is 29:11; Dan 12:4).
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
“Lion of the tribe of Juda” – a Messianic title taken from Gen 49:8-10, where Judah is named a “lion’s whelp” and promised the right to rule “until Shiloh comes” (see also Eze 21:27).
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
“Lamb” – pictured as the sacrifice for sin (“slain”) and as the mighty conqueror (17:14). Revelation uses a special word for “lamb” (29 times in Revelation and only once elsewhere in the New Testament – Jn 21:15).
The idea of the lamb as a victorious military leader seems to come from the apocalyptic tradition (1 Enoch 90:9; Testament of Joseph 19:8).
“As it had been slain” – bearing the marks of its slaughter – He has come to power through His death.
“Seven horns” – the horn is an ancient Jewish symbol for power or strength. The fourth beast of Dan 7:7, 20 had ten horns. Seven horns would symbolize full strength.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
As I had stated before, we will never be gods, but kings and priests for God, or ambassadors.
The 1970’s are now regarded as the decade that served as the “pivot of change” in the United States.
TV changed from being innocent and saccharin to become more edgy, salacious and dramatic. Suddenly females were taking the lead roles as strong independent characters.
Soul, jazz, funk and later rap, hip-hop and punk music exploded into the mainstream.
In 1977 science fiction capture the imagination of millions with the release of the first Star Wars movie.
Did we mention that it was also the decade where the first home computer made its debut?
But it wasn’t all just entertainment, the 1970’s showcased a far darker side to America’s personality.
Peaceful protesters were fire upon at the Kent State University, the US military finally withdrew from Vietnam, Richard Nixon (then the President) was forced to resign after abusing his power and the environment become a genuine concern to the wider public.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
“Thousands of thousands” – a rhetorical phrase for an indefinitely large number.
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth forever and ever.
Woe Unto America
It appears that America will continue to go downhill. In my opinion, the last good era in our country was the 70s, but I hear the 50s and 60s were better.
I was a teenager in the 70s, and I remember how the police actually tried to help when you were in a bind, that was when the law was “to help the innocent” rather than “to control the environment” as it is today.
And the police were here to “serve,” but they are no longer police, but cops and all they want to do is lock anyone up just because they can.
Hitchhiking was safe, leaving your house and car unlocked was safe.
There weren’t computers or cell phones and there were more churches, true God fearing churches actually, then there were bars and taverns. Back in the 70’s there was a 7-Eleven on every corner (so the saying was).
Today, on every corner you find one of three things: a bar, a hooker, or a drug dealer, and the hooker or drug dealer might be a dirty cop.
What most churches fear today is not God, but their bank accounting dwindling.
And now the United States has booted God out of our courts and schools so can we expect God to be pleased? I think not and I believe God is letting us know that He is very unhappy with America.
As I am writing this page, today is April 3, 2014, and look how horrible the weather has been all year so far – the earthquakes, the snow, the mud slide in Seattle, etc.
It’s coming, and it’s going to get worse, but only for those that don’t walk with Jesus.
The following article coincides in what I just said about America, but the author seems somewhat of a radical and I don’t agree with everything he/she says, but instead of leaving parts of it out I’ll just make my comment because it’s not up to me to decide what you should believe.

America is Sinfully Proud!
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? (Oba 1:3).
Woe unto America, a land of stiff-necked pride! The Bible condemns homosexuality! Yet, many of our leaders don’t care what God thinks…
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts (Ps 10:4).
A nation that openly recognizes and promotes homosexuality is a land of wicked pride. All of Hollywood’s adulterers and whoremongers will stand before God.
Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge (Heb 13:4).
The liquor industry – the manufacturers, the bartenders, and the beer truck drivers, will stand before God for their wickedness in helping to destroy America.
I don’t agree with the above statement and I explain it later.
The abortionists, who are pro-death, will stand before God for murder on Judgment Day. Their haughty looks shall be brought low…

“Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished” (Prov 16:5).
The alcohol industry is arrogant and proud… trying to blame only the drinkers instead of the drink itself. Alcohol is a drug! In fact, alcohol by definition is a narcotic!
Alcohol therefore should be controlled for the same reasons that LSD, crack cocaine, heroin and other dangerous drugs are controlled, because they pose a threat to society.
I disagree with the above paragraphs. First off, the author here does not know that “the alcohol industry is arrogant and proud.” That reminds me of Debra Oberlin, former president of MADD:
On February 18th at 1:10 a.m., an officer spotted Oberlin driving erratically, swerving and crossing lanes so the officer pulled her over.
The officer could smell the alcohol and said Oberlin had watery, bloodshot and dilated eyes. Oberlin told the officer she had only drank four beers.
She registered a .234 and .239 on breath alcohol tests. Florida’s legal limit for driving is .08.
Anyway, God says nothing against alcohol in the Bible, they had vineyards and made wine and Jesus even turned water into wine.
The water wasn’t always good to drink, and they made beer as far back as 2050 B.C., and even earlier. Drinking is not a sin, but getting drunk is:
“Wine a mocker, strong drink raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise” (Prov 20:1).
“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal 5:21).
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit” (Eph 5:18).
It appears that God did not see drugs and alcohol equal and I’m not sure, but it appears that the use of drugs is a sin.

Therefore, my advice in regards to drugs, if you ever have the opportunity to acquire any, instead, run, especially if it is cocaine.
One more thing about what the author said, “trying to blame only the drinkers instead of the drink itself.” I total disagree; if you sell someone a gun and they shoot and kill someone can we blame it on the manufacturer or the gun? I say not.
Or if someone sits around and eats candy and ice cream all the time and gets fat, whose fault is that?
God even says that we will pay for our own sins:
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin” (Deut 24:16).
“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him” (Eze 18:20).
The author of this article says quite a bit more against alcohol which I disagree on and he uses quite a few scriptures that I think are out of context, i.e., they pertain to much more important matters than alcohol so I chose not to print them here, if you want to read them you can do so here.
We not only commit sin in America, but we have nicknamed one of our biggest cities SIN CITY! Americans can’t seem to get enough of Sin City Las Vegas. I assure you, what HAPPENS in Vegas is RECORDED in Heaven!
God sees and knows everything that goes on, and there is no city worse than another, God sees all sins the same. If you break one commandment you have broken them all.
But if we are going to choose a place that is Sin City, I wouldn’t say its Vegas, but Hollywood.
On the list of things that God hates in Proverbs, a proud look is listed first…
“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look…” (Prov 6:16, 17).
When Angelina Jolie was asked “Is there a God?” Jolie responded…

Yeah, Anglina, like many people are going to have a big problem when Jesus comes back.
“And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible” (Is 13:11).
“Ye that love the LORD hate evil…” (Ps 97:10).
I like the following quote because I think it is true. If all you read is the lies and violent acts of the world that the media prints you don’t know God.

The only problem that I have with the author of this article is he makes God sound like a curmudgeon and that’s not God.
It is true that if you don’t go His way you’ll fry forever, but He doesn’t want that. As long as we don’t go against Jesus in any fashion we can have great lives and do whatever we choose to do – Jesus wasn’t a drunk, a pervert, or anything disgusting.
And when we have a problem we don’t have to do anything, give it to God and He’ll take care of it and I don’t say that because the Bible says He will, I say that because I’ve seen His handy work, He’s great.

Bush at all-male Phillips Academy in Andover , Massachusetts was “head” cheerleader. Drama club and cheerleading are where the gay boys hang out.

Feminism!
Does the Word of God address feminism? The modern concept of feminism was not present during the time that the Bible was written, but that does that mean that the Bible has nothing to say on the basic issues of feminism.
She played a pivotal role in the development of anarchist political philosophy in North America and Europe in the first half of the 20th century.
During her life, Goldman was lionized as a free-thinking “rebel woman” by admirers, and denounced by critics as an advocate of politically motivated murder and violent revolution.
Her writing and lectures spanned a wide variety of issues, including prisons, atheism, freedom of speech, militarism, capitalism, marriage, free love, and homosexuality.
Even when the Scriptures seem to be silent on something that affects us today, there are eternal principles that speak to the underlying issue.
First, we should define feminism, since the term can have different meanings for different people. Basically, feminism is:
A philosophy that advocates equal rights for women and men—socially, politically, economically, and in other ways. Early feminists fought for and won suffrage for women.
Today’s feminism goes further than demanding equal treatment of men and women, however. Modern feminists fight for language equality (saying “chairperson” instead of “chairman,” even if the person in question is male) and gender equality (redefining femininity and masculinity).
The more radical feminists actively seek to overthrow any vestige of male dominance in society, to the point of opposing the biblical roles of husbands and wives, defending abortion on demand, and promoting lesbianism.
Radical feminists deny there is any difference between men and women, teaching that any perceived differences between the sexes are due solely to social conditioning.
Euthanasia
Euthanasia can be a very difficult issue. There are two sides that are difficult to balance. On one end, we do not want to take a person’s life into our own hands and end it prematurely. On the other end, at what point do we simply allow a person to die and take no further action to preserve life?
The overriding truth that drives the conclusion that God is opposed to euthanasia is His sovereignty. We know that physical death is inevitable.
“What man can live and never see death? Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah” (Ps 89:48).
“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Heb 9:27).
However, God alone is sovereign over when and how a person’s death occurs. Job testifies:
“For I know that you will bring me to death and to the house appointed for all living” (Job 30:23).
“No man has power over the wind to contain it; so no one has power over the day of his death” (Ecc 8:8).
God has the final say over death. Euthanasia is man’s way of trying to usurp that authority from God.
Pride!
“Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished” (Prov 16:5).
“A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit” (Prov 29:23).
“For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself” (Gal 6:3).
That was the devil’s greatest sin:
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit” (Is 14:12-15).
“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more” (Eze 28:17-19).
Pride was also the devil’s greatest gift to the world:
“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” (Gen 3:4-6).
Adultery!
“[But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he [that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul” (Prov 6:32).
“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matt 5:28).
“And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except [it be] for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery” (Matt 19:9).
I am uncertain exactly what Jesus means on the above scripture. Since divorce is not a sin, I’m thinking that he means if you divorce your wife for the purpose of marrying another woman you have committed adultery.
Also, if you meet someone that had gone through a divorce, but you were never knew them before or were never involved in their divorce, then I’m thinking that would not be committing adultery.
But I’m unsure of that, you’ll have to talk to God about it.
“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body” (1 Cor 6:18).
“Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand” (1 Cor 10:8).
“Marriage [is] honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge” (Heb 13:4).
The Devil’s Music!
You hear a lot against Rock-n-Roll. I grew up on Rock-n-Roll. I remember when I was a kid listening to Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis and when the 70s come anywhere from Led Zepplin to Creedence Clearwater Revival to Bachman Turner Overdrive to Styx to etc., etc.
I don’t believe there is any type of music or any specific song that can be classified as “Devil Music” because the words are just words. It depends on what each person does with that song. Like we talked about earlier, alcohol itself is not sinful and it can’t make you drunk unless “You” drink to much of it.
But that doesn’t mean I’m correct, so I’m going to show you someone else’s opinion:
In the world of biology, we are given the example of a frog that when placed into boiling water, will immediately jump out. However, if that same frog is put into a bowl of cool water which is slowly heated by a bunsen burner, the frog will eventually boil to death.
Religious rock and roll is like the frog and the water. The term “rock and roll” means fornication. It is a street name for sexual immorality. It has wrecked the lives of many teenagers through suicide, drug abuse, immorality, perversion, satanism, etc.
Sadly, we live in a day where many Christians and church leaders are allowing this demonic music into their churches, claiming that the music is holy and sanctified because the lyrics are changed to include some “religious” words.
Where is the discernment in the church? Are Christians losing their ability to discern the difference between good and evil? The fact that this demonic music even made it into the church is proof of the moral and spiritual decline affecting the church today.
We are being invaded by hard rock, acid rock, punk rock, new wave, and heavy metal music under the guise of religious rock and roll.
To me, that’s hogwash. I like rock-n-roll and it isn’t the music that every got me in trouble, but the drugs and the booze.
There are thousands of songs of all types about sex and a sin is a sin, so I guess these sonegs should be banned?
Yet, that doesn’t mean that it would be cool for me to a rock-n-roll concert that was promoted by atheists or Satanists.
It would be against God if I did, but not because of the music, but who the participants were.
I like Areosmith, Black Sabbath, all of the good rock-n-roll bands of the 70s, but I also like the song “I Can Only Imagine,” by MercyMe, that song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
If you don’t know, MercyMe is a Christian Rock-n-Roll band and the song “I Can Only Imagine” does not have any religious words, it’s all about the Second Coming of Christ, how amazing it will be to meet Him in person.
Since it’s rock-n-roll is it devil music?
Government Corruption!
Indifference!
Hellivision!
Prostitution!
“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good]” (Eze 16:49-50).
“For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine” (1 Tim 1:10).
Courtesans (hetairai) in ancient Athens, for example, were trained in music, communication and deportment, to provide their men with elegant and sympath
etic companions as well as sexual pleasure.
They were schooled in good conversation, in getting a man to talk about himself and his worries.
Possibly the most famous of these was Aspasia, courtesan to Pericles of Athens. She was highly educated (good conversationalists must be, yes?) and they were so close that it’s possible she may have written some of his speeches.
Geishas in Japan also performed similar functions, assisting elite men with their troubles and providing an environment where they could feel confident and pampered.
Is prostitution a sin? This is another one that I’m unsure of. I would say that in most cases it is. It’s probably the oldest profession the world has ever had, but God is not happy with it. He allowed in the Old Testament, but He doesn’t anymore:
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:29-30).
God is not some ogre that wants to control us and make us unhappy, but He is holy and wants us to be holy. He has set things as sin because He knows the repercussions of them. The reason He doesn’t want us to commit sin is not to control us, but to protect us.
Yet, not all sins are sins within themselves. For example, drinking is not a sin, until you get drunk. Being a whore is sinful, a whore is a whore. But I would say that the act of prostitution would be a sin only if committed by a whore. What I’m getting at is if a woman had to do the deed to survive it would not be a sin.
Yet, I’m not God so don’t quote me on that, but the below scriptures is why I think that:
“At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.
But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?” (Matt 12:1-5).
Gambling!
Casinos are a psychological minefield. 10. No Clocks – casino doesn’t want you to be punctual.
9. No Windows – no windows once you get inside the belly of the beast.
8. Lights, Sounds and Activity – bells ringing, flashing lights, change clanging, slot wheels whirring, digital sounds beeping – it’s all captivating.
7. Ambience – the lighting is low and mellow – this gives a homey, friendly feel, kind of like sitting on your couch.
6. Location of Services – restrooms, food, or cash out your chips, you must search for them. This is a last-ditch effort to keep you inside.
5. Near Wins – Slot machines constantly make small payouts while perpetually being one cherry or star away from the big jackpot.
4. Freebies – free or reduced services, to keep players returning.
3. Alcohol – free drinks keeps people happy and a buzzed or drunk player spends more money than the booze is even worth.
2 – Keeping the Big Winners – small bettors are important, but high rollers are treated like kings.
1. Labyrinth Design – Casinos are essentially giant mazes that are intentionally set up for you to literally get lost in. A sea of machines and tables create obstacles and barriers that keep the player from leaving.
I think this is another one of them “could be a sin.
“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase” (Prov 13:11).
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Tim 6:10).
There is nothing wrong with wanting money, but loving money more than God or anything for that matter, is not a good thing.
If you want to play the lotto, scratch-offs, the casino, race horses, or any type of gambling, I don’t think God has a problem with that.
Yet, if gambling causes you to neglect responsibilities, such as feeding your family, paying your bills, taking care of your pet, giving to the church, spending time with your family, spending time with God, etc., then it becomes a sin.
Again, this is what I believe, God did not tell me this. But He has told me, a while back, “Don’t worry about money, I will give it to you.”
And He does say in the Book of Deuteronomy:
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day” (Deut 8:18).
Divorce!
God hates divorce, and that’s all there is to it. You will always find people trying to analyze if He really does and if so why, blah, blah.
There’s no need to study it, the fact is, is that God hates divorce. He made men and women to be married and He does not like disruptions.
Remember, He’s holy, everything He does is perfect and great and He wants us to do the same. There is nothing perfect or great in a divorce. That would be like saying we have a fantastic president.
For the man who does not love his wife but divorces her, says theLord, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the Lordof hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not be faithless (Mal 2:16).
