Jeremiah 30
Restoration of Israel
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
30:1-33:26 – often called Jeremiah’s “book of consolation,” the section depicts the ultimate restoration of both Israel (the northern kingdom) and Judah (the southern kingdom) and is the longest sustained passage in Jeremiah concerned with the future hope of the people of God.
The information in 32:1 may be used to date the entry section to 587 B.C., the year before Jerusalem was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and its people exiled to Babylon.
30:1-31:40 – written almost entirely in poetry, these two chapters are filled with optimism as the prophet looks forward to the time when God would redeem His people.
Revival came during the reign of Hezekiah but it was immediately swept aside by his son Manasseh, who was Judah’s most wicked and longest ruling king.
The nation never fully recovered from the effects of this evil king. Manasseh’s son Amon continued in his father’s depravity, but he soon was murdered. His successor Josiah (about 640-609 B.C.) restored traditional covenant religion, which was based on the Book of the Law newly discovered in a Temple storeroom (2 Chr. 34:14).
Many did not follow Josiah’s example, however, and the prophet Zephaniah foretold disaster for the nation. By 610 B.C. the Assyrian Empire had collapsed under Babylonian attacks, and Babylon prepared to march against Egypt, which had been helping the Assyrians.
Against Jeremiah’s advice, Josiah intervened and was killed at Megiddo.After Josiah there was no hope for Judah, the last 3 kings were all evil. The Babylonians swept down upon Jerusalem in 597 B.C. and captured it.
A second attack led to Jerusalem’s second defeat in 586 B.C. Captives from both campaigns were taken to Babylonia to mark the captivity of the Southern Kingdom.
2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
“Israel and Judah” – the northern and southern kingdoms, the first of which was exiled in 721 B.C. and the second of which would be entering the final stage of its exile in about a year.
4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
A description of the day of the Lord. Jeremiah’s immediate reference is to the foreseeable future, but a more remote time in the Messianic age is also in view.
“Time of…trouble” – see Dan 12:1, Matt 24:24 and Rev 16:18.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
“David their king” – the Messiah. The Targum (ancient Aramaic paraphrase) here reads “Messiah, the son of David, their king.”
10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
The Talmud

I read Antone LaVey’s The Satanic Bible a long time ago and it’s basically a book for greedy, selfish people. It doesn’t exactly condemn the Holy Bible, it just more-or-less tells you that you don’t need God, just like Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret.
The Talmud is the Jewish Bible and it supersedes the Old Testament in authority for the Jews. It is the most racist, hate-mongering , blasphemous book the world has ever known. It’s much worse than even the Torah. Below are a few of its satanic verses.
The Talmud was written in Hebrew between the 3rd & 6th Centuries as a codification of the so-called Oral Law that the Jewish rabbis claim was handed down from Moses.
But the Messiah Jesus censored the “Oral Law” when He said,

..Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias (Isaiah) prophesy of you saying,

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men (Matt 15:3, 6-9).
The English translation of the Talmud has been watered down so as to conceal from the Gentiles the “satanic verses” contained in the original Hebrew.
