Ezekiel 15 – The Parable of the Vine & The Mystery of Ancient Man (Part 1 of 3)

ThinkingI don’t believe You made anyone stupid, but I also believe that Satan has polluted the world with horrible, stupid people.

So now…

Ezekiel 15
The Parable of the Vine

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1 I am the true vine
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much frit: for without me ye can do nothing” (Jn 15:1-5).

2 Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?

3 Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?

5 Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?

6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

7 And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.

8 And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.

The Mystery of Ancient Man – Part 1 of 3

The history of the world is a mystery.  Beyond what archaeologists and the Bible tells us we know very little.  Archaeologists can only make scientific assumption.  And the Bible doesn’t tell us that much, but it does tell us a lot about God.

2 The Pyramids of Egypt
The Pyramids of Egypt, built at Giza during the 4th Dynasty (c. 2680- 2544 B.C.) are the oldest of the seven wonders and the only ones remaining intact today.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu was the greatest of the Egyptian pyramids, which served as burial places of the pharaohs, particularly during the Old Kingdom. Some lists included all of the pyramids and the Sphinx as well.

The Great Pyramid was originally 481 feet, five inches tall and measured 755 feet along its sides. Covering an area of 13 acres, it’s large enough to contain the European cathedrals of Florence, Milan, St. Peters, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s. Constructed from approximately 2.5 million limestone blocks weighing on average 2.6 tons each, its total mass is more than 6.3 million tons (representing more building material than is to be found in all the churches and cathedrals built in England since the time of Christ).

In regard to knowledge, the history of the world is not of great importance, understanding God should be everyone’s greatest desire (Ps 1).

Curiosity isn’t a sin, if it was God wouldn’t have given us the mind that we have and who knows, maybe understanding the world and outer space is profitable?

We can only wonder if God created other beings other than us, I have to assume He did, why else would He create the universes?

So we have to wonder, for example, how did ancient man build the great pyramids of Egypt?  Did they get help from visitors from outer space?  If so, why did they stop?  Where are they now?

Or did God help them as He had done at other times, such as with Noah (Gen 6:14-18)?

How did ancient man move huge stones, build monumental structures, create intricate artwork and organize complex cultures?

The above question itself tells us that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is incorrect.  If such evolution was true evidence would show a gradual decline in man’s intelligence, moving closer to the apes.

Man, created in God’s image, has always been intelligent. People make discoveries and invent things, and this knowledge is passed on and built upon. In this way, technology can increase within a society, but this is not because people become more intelligent.

True History3 Postman

A short time after creation, people were already inventing things such as musical instruments, and metal-working (Gen 4:21–22).

For example, it was sufficient for Noah to build a huge ocean-going vessel. The Ark measured approximately 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet tall (Gen 6:15). We know that these proportions were ideal for stability.

Noah didn’t live anywhere near water so I doubt if he ever went fishing on a boat, let alone build one.  Also, it had never rained before (Gen 2:5-6) so to perform this task would have required advanced knowledge in engineering, not to mention timber-working techniques. 4 Cradle of Civilzation

Therefore, it only makes since that God had to tell him how to build it.

The Bible records that soon after the flood, mankind built a huge city. This was in the fertile river valley of Mesopotamia, around present-day Iraq. Even evolutionists can’t ignore the evidence here, and generally refer to this area as the “cradle of civilization.”

The Tower of Babel (Gen 11:1–9) was probably a ziggurat, or the first type of pyramid, like others still standing in the area (around present-day Babylon). Similar styles of pyramids are found in ancient civilizations all around the world.

Evolutionary historians believe that each culture devised the same style of building independently. But it seems more sensible to suggest that they are similar because they all came from the same origin – Babel.

As with any group of people in society today, those that existed at the time of the Tower of Babel would have had a diverse range of skills. Some were builders, some artists, and others farmers.  However, when God divided the groups by language, the broad pool of knowledge was divided also.

There are many things ancient man did that we aren’t able to do today and there are inventions that we only add to.

5 replica of Naohs Ark
This is obviously a replica of Naoh’s Ark. It is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide.
That’s two-thirds the length of a football field and as high as a three-story house.

God is a mystery to us, but the good thing about Him is that He’s on our side and will always help us if we just ask:

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him (Jas 1:5).

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have t

he petitions that we desired of him (1 Jn 5:14-15).

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb 11:6).

I want to know if King Solomon had a hot air balloon or if they even thought about flying back then?
