VII 1. The Power of God

“But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on VIII 2. Cross Powerearth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, take p thy bed, and go unto thine house.  But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto man” (Matt 9:6 & 8).

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matt 28:18).

“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, VIII 3. Electrical Powerand said, Father, the hour is come; glorify they Son, that they Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (Jn 17:1-3).

“Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received from my Father” (Jn 10:17-18).

VIII 4. What a Mighty God We Serve“Then saith Pilate unto him, Speaketh thou not unto me?  Knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?  Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above.  Therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin” (Jn 19:10-11).
