Revelation 22 – The Water and the Tree of Life and the End

Now that I have completed this pictorial, archaeological and historical walk through the Bible my work done?

I can write pages of how Jesus has changed my life. How He changed a literally stupid boy, a convict, a drug addict, an alcoholic, and violent person into trustworthy and safe person.

Actually I did write it down in my eBook, “Where Will You Spend Eternity: Heaven or Hell?” And yes, the Holy Ghost helped me write that, along with my testimony, “Jerry: A Gracious Gift From God.”

I’m not a preacher or Mother Teresa or anything like that, I still distrust cops, politicians and our entire government, but I’m no longer the arrogant, selfish, greedy person trying to become king of the hill.

Revelation 22
The Water and the Tree of Life
and the End

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

“They shall see his face” – an idiom for “have an audience” with the king in ancient times criminals were banished from the presence of the king (Est 7:8; cf. 2 Sam 14:24).

One blessing of eternity will be to see the Lord face-to-face (cf. 1 Cor 13:12).

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

“Unjust, let him be unjust still” – this verse speaks of the stability of the eternal state – both for the wicked and the righteous.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

“Dogs” – a term applied to all types of ceremonially impure persons.  In Deut 23:18 it designates a male prostitute.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

“Bright and morning star” – these are Messianic titles applied to Jesus Christ.  See Num 24:17.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

22:18-19 – cf. the commands in Deut 4:2, 12:32.  The warning here relates specifically to the book of Revelation.

“Grace” – the New Testament begins with Jesus Christ (Matt 1:1) and ends with an expression of His grace.  Throughout, He is the subject.

The New Testament begins with the fact of His first coming and ends with the promise of His second.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

This well-known verse states God’s requirements for blessing us; it requires humility, prayer, devotion and repentance.
While this promise was originally given to King Solomon regarding the people of Israel, it is certainly applicable to all who will call on the Lord in repentance and faith.

This verse stands as a high expression of God’s readiness to hear the prayers of a repentant people.

If My People…

by Richard White

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chr 7:14).

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Is 59:1-2).

The sentence, as it continues, forms what is probably the best known and most loved verse in all Chronicles. It expresses, as does no other passage in the Bible, the stipulations that God lays down for a nation to experience his blessing, whether that nation be Solomon’s, Ezra’s, or our own.

Those who have been chosen to be His people must cease from their sins, turn from living lives of proud self-centeredness, pray to the Lord, and yield their desires to his Word and his will.

The subject “His chosen people” has been debated for centuries.

In the beginning, the Jews were His chosen people, but they were (and still are) so horrible that Jesus had to come to save the world.  Today anyone that believes in Jesus is God’s chosen people.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:28).

Some people also believe that God has chosen some people to live and others to burn in hell.  I don’t think that because it just doesn’t make since why He would do that, besides as the Bible says,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (Jn 3:16).

Therefore I believe anyone can be saved, but God does choose certain people to do special things, like He did with Abraham, Moses, Paul, etc.

I also believe that God will guide any believer to do something for Him, as I am doing this blog for Him.

This has taken me over three years to complete, but know that Jesus did not say do this and let me know when you get it finished.  He has been with me all the way.

There have been a couple times I was ready to quit, but He kept me going.  Jesus will never let  you down, nor ever leave you.

Our situation in this nation cannot be solved by human means, we need Divine intervention to bring this country back to being a God-fearing, Christian nation.

Jesus tells us that without Him we can do nothing.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (Jn 15:5).

God tells the Nation of Israel and us that apart from Him we have No Savior (Is 43:11), No God (Is 44:6), and that there is no God apart from Him (Is 45:5, 21). But this is getting ahead of ourselves.

If My People…

What are we called to do?

Humble Ourselves

Stop being so full of ourselves and realize that whatever we have, we have because of God and not of ourselves.

God will visit when his people reach a point of desperation. When we surrender that pride, the idea that we can do pretty good on our own, and we get down on our knees and admit things are not as they should be, then God will come to His people.

It is calling us to come down to earth so to speak. To humble ourselves is to recognize God for who he is.

It reminds me of a line I heard in the movie “Rudy.”

The priest tells Rudy, in all my years I have learned two things, there is God, and I am not Him. The blessings we have are not because of us, but because of God. Humble ourselves, bring ourselves low and exalt GOD.

Seek His Face

That is to come before Him to seek what His will is in any and every situation. We read His word and do what it says not what we think it says. To seek His face is to desire an audience with Him.

In 1857 there was a 46 year old man named Jeremiah Lamphere who lived in New York City. Jeremiah loved the Lord tremendously, but he didn’t feel that he could do much for the Lord until he began to feel a burden for the lost and accepted an invitation from his church to be an inner city missionary.

So in July of 1857 he started walking up and down the streets of New York passing out tracts and talking to people about Jesus, but he wasn’t having any success.

Then God put it on his heart to try prayer. So he printed up a bunch of tracts, and he passed them out to anyone and everyone met.

He invited anyone who wanted to come to the 3rd floor of the Old North Dutch Reform Church on Fulton St. in New York City from 12 to 1 on Wednesday to pray.

He passed out hundreds and hundreds of fliers and put up posters everywhere he could. Wednesday came and at noon nobody showed up.

So Jeremiah got on his knees and started praying. For 30 minutes he prayed by himself when finally five other people walked in.

The next week 20 people came. The next week between 30 and 40 people came. They then decided to meet every day from 12:00 to 1:00 to pray for the city.

Before long a few ministers started coming and they said, “We need to start this at our churches.” Within six months there were over 5000 prayer groups meeting every day in New York.

Soon the word spread all over the country. Prayer meetings were started in Philadelphia, Detroit, and Washington D.C.

In fact President Franklin Pierce started going almost every day to a noonday prayer meeting.

By 1859 some 15,000 cities in America were having downtown prayer meetings every day at noon and thousands were brought to Christ.

The great thing about this revival is that there is not a famous preacher associated with it. It was all started by one man wanting to pray.

See only God can start a revival and God is quite clear about what He expects before He will return to His people.

Are we willing to do His will, not yours?

I think most people today are pretty satisfied with the state of the church. Do you think that the church in America today is pretty healthy? Does the Church seek His Face?

Turn From Your Wicked Ways

Does the Church speak out against sin? Does the Church call sin a sin? It is not that the Bible has to change to society, it is that society must change its ways to conform with the Bible, nothing less will do.

This is repentance, it is a turning and changing. Some change happens slow, remember some of our habits have taken years to develop, the idea is moving toward that end.

It is moving closer to God and His ways. Some of us are still stuck where we were just before coming to Christ.

Time to get up and get moving harder, striving more and more to be Christ like, just as the name we wear says.

This is the most awesome command. We are to pray. We seek His face, we turn from our evil ways and we pray. What is our prayer life like?

Wayne Watson wrote a song “When God’s people pray” he says “we take the pains of earth to the doors of heaven. When we pray things happen, miracles we cannot explain away.

When the Church prayed things happened. (all verses come from Acts)

1. Peter and John had the courage to challenge the Sanhedrin Chapter 4.
2. The Church w
as added to daily Chapter 2, 5.

3. Peter was freed from prison (Chapter 12).

In I Thess 5:17 Paul doesn’t say sing without ceasing, or fellowship without ceasing or even preach without ceasing.

He said, “Pray without ceasing.” That’s revival praying! In Lk 11:1, the disciples said to Jesus, “Teach us to pray.” Notice they did not say, “Lord, teach us what to say.”

Rather I think they were saying, “Lord teach us how to pray, to pray like you do.”

Miracles happened, revival happened and the Church grew.

Let me close with a great story.

I started by telling you about the great prayer revival of 1857. It moved from New York to Detroit, Buffalo, Washington D.C. and it moved to Philadelphia in a powerful way.

One of the leaders in Philadelphia was a young man named Dudley Ting. He started a noonday prayer meeting at the YMCA, and some days 5000 people would come at noon and pray.

One day Dudley stood up and he read Ex 10:11, “Go ye that are men and serve the Lord.” He then said, “I had rather my right arm cut off than not give you that word.”

Later that week Dudley went out into the country to see some friends. While in a barn at his friend’s place he got his arm caught in a corn threshing machine and the main artery in his arm was severed.

They took him to a bed and tried to save his life but he had lost too much blood. So his friends gathered around him and asked him what he would like to say.

He said, “Tell them to stand up for Jesus.” So the next Sunday his good friend George Duffield stood up at church and preached in memory of his friend.

He said, “I just finished writing a poem in honor of Dudley and I want to read it to you.”

Stand up, Stand up for Jesus, ye solders of the cross. Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss. From victory unto victory His army shall He lead, till every foe is vanquished, for Christ is Lord in deed.

Stand up, Stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey. Forth to the mighty conflict in this His glorious day. Ye that are men now serve Him, against unnumbered foes. Let courage rise with danger and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long. This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song. To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be, he with the king of glory shall reign eternally.

All across America, city after city people would meet for one day and pray for their country, and sing Stand up Stand up for Jesus.

It’s time to decide if we want to do business with God or with man?

I hope this has been helpful and this site will always be on line and free because Jesus is free.  Thank you for reading it.

Revelation 21 – The New Jerusalem & Are You Saved?

Many say that since God is a loving God He won’t cast anyone into hell.  Anyone that believes that should run for office.

Would it be okay with you if someone killed your child, or even just hurt them?  What would you do?

Would you say, well, they’re not really mean, they were just having a bad day so we’ll ignore that little problem?  And then you can invite them over for dinner.

People think that God is not a person, He’s just God.  Remember, God created us to be just like Him:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Gen 1:26).

The emotions we have are the same ones that God has.  The only difference between God and us is that we can’t handle the emotions.

Satan will either put an idea in our minds or just throw the idea out for the world to view and sure enough, our greedy little minds snatch it up as quick as possible.

So I ask you, “Would you trust a lying cheat babysit your child?”

Many people have this foolish idea that we have to go through hoops to please God in order to be saved.

Whoever started that ridiculous rumor must have been a democrat.  I want to remove that lie from anyone’s mind so tomorrow we will look at…

Revelation 21
The New Jerusalem

FAITH is the key to salvation. Not just believing, but trusting Jesus Christ.
Trust is faith, in this context believing is more like hoping.

Hoping that Jesus is real and He will take care of you, there is no faith and if you are without faith you are without salvation.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:1, 6).

If you willfully sin you cannot please God:

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Heb 10:26-27).

In other words, if you do not please God you are not saved.

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

21:2-22:5 – The “holy city combines elements of Jerusalem, the temple and the Garden of Eden.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

“He that overcometh” – cf. the emphasis on overcoming in the seven letters (2:17, 11, 17, 26, 3:5, 12, 21).

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

“Sorcerers” – Cf. Acts 19:19.  The magical tradition in ancient times called for the mixing of various herbs toward of evil, which includes today’s narcotics.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

“Twelve gates” – see Eze 48:30-35.  The number 12 comes from the 12 tribes of Israel, the Old Testament people of God.

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved.
No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner.

Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell.

If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

See v. 14, where the 12 foundations bear the names of the 12 apostles.  Twelve apostles were chose to rule over the 12 tribes of Israel (Matt 19:28).

13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

“Measure the city” – Cf. Eze 40-41.  In Rev 11 the measuring was to ensure protection; here it serves to show the size and symmetry of the eternal dwelling place of the faithful.

16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

“Twelve thousand furlongs” – this is a cube of about 1,500 miles square.  This city may sit on the earth, in the earth, or be suspended in space near the earth.

“Length and the breadth of the height” – thus a perfect cube, as was the most holy place of the tabernacle and the temple.

17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

The precise identification of some of these precious ston
es is uncertain.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.

Do you know Jesus?
Do you know all that He has done?
Do you know how much He has showed us His love for us?
Go Here.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

“Lamb’s book of life” – see note on 3:5.

Are You Saved?

This is not a theory or an ideal or a concept of some sort, but a very simple fact.  It does not take a rocket scientist to understand this, but then again you must be smarter than the average fool (ouch, that leaves most politicians in the dark).

What a horrifying reality to think you will enter paradise on the day of your death, but then come to find out on that day you were actually deceived and you find yourself in hell.

Such is, and will be, the terror of most who call themselves Christians today.

Marduk god
Marduk’s symbol animal, the mušḫuššu or “snake-dragon” at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

This is a glazed brick relief from the city of Babylon itself, dating to the Neo-Babylonian period.

Marduk rose from an obscure deity in the third millennium B.C. to become one of the most important gods and the head of the Mesopotamian pantheon in the first millennium.

He was the patron god of the city of Babylon, where his temple tower, the ziggurat TT Etemenanki (“Temple (that is) the foundation of the heavens and the earth”) served as the model for the famous “tower of Babel.”

In the first millennium, he was often referred to as Bel, the Akkadian word for “Lord.”

“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt 7:21-23).

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt 7:13-14).

“Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able” (Lk 13:24).

“And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:2).

They will find themselves weeping and gnashing their teeth (e.g. Matt 8:12; 22:1-14; 25;14-30; Lk 13:28).

All of the world’s religions (e.g. Protestantism, Catholicism, Mormonism, JW’s, Seventh Day Adventism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Atheism, most Christians, etc.) lead to nowhere but hell.

“Those involved in them are “unbelieving. . .idolaters” (Rev 21:8).

Every single last one of them reject the truth of the Bible.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Marduk’s symbol, the (triangular) spade, on top of a temple, as seen on the side of a kudurru TT at the British Museum.
The relief probably dates to the late 12th century B.C.
The ancient Mesopotamians believed in an afterlife that was a land below our world.

It was this land, known alternately as Arallû, Ganzer or Irkallu, the latter of which meant “Great Below”, that it was believed everyone went to after death, irrespective of social status or the actions performed during life.

Unlike Christian Hell, the Mesopotamians considered the underworld neither a punishment nor a reward.

Nevertheless, the condition of the dead was hardly considered the same as the life previously enjoyed on earth: they were considered merely weak and powerless ghosts.

The myth of Ishtar’s descent into the underworld relates that “dust is their food and clay their nourishment, they see no light, where they dwell in darkness.”

Stories such as the Adapa myth resignedly relate that, due to a blunder, all men must die and that true everlasting life is the sole property of the gods.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen” (Rom 1:18-25).

And thus, the Truth of the Bible, God (Jn 14:6), will burn them forever in the lake of fire for hating Him so (Deut 32:39-41; Rev 20:11-15).

If you are involved with the kind of “Christianity” that views Protestantism, or Catholicism, or the Orthodox church, or the “church of Christ,” or Billy Graham, or Rick Warren, or Oprah Winfrey, or Rhonda Byrne or any of the like as godly, you are not saved.

You cannot be a partial-Christian, it’s all or nothing with God.

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils” (1 Cor 10:21).

…If My People.

Revelation 20 – The Millennial Regin, the Loosing of Satan, and the Great White Throne & Democracy Is Not Freedom by Ron Paul

As I had said yesterday, I’m not that keen on politics, but I’m not an idiot either (if I was I’d work in D.C.) so I can certainly understand the below article.

Or at least what I think Ron Paul is saying is that we need to fire most people that are in the White House and Congress and start all over again, start with people that are true Americans, people that follow Jesus, like President Trump.

There are only two more chapters of the Bible so tomorrow I want to talk about the most important matter in everyone’s life.  You need to take a close look at yourself and ask…

Revelation 20
The Millennial Regin, the Loosing of Satan,
and the Great White Throne

As the final moment arrives to complete the judgment of sinners, we can expect that arrogance and rebellion have finally finished their course.
The Bible is filled with godless men that were always ready to laugh in the face of God.
The nature of sin, which started in Heaven among the angels and invaded the garden of perfect beauty to defile the human family, was never a light thing.

Some men restrain themselves lest they show the full potential of their evil possibility, but the ultimate powers are never far below the surface.

Sin is deeply rooted and blatantly destructive.

When sin is unrestrained, it is as dark as midnight.

Even when it is restrained, it is still nothing but naked death.

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

20:1-22:21 – These last three chapters reflect many of the subjects and themes of the first three chapters of Genesis.

“Bottomless pit” – Greek abyss.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

“Thousand years” – the millennium (from the Latin mille, “thousand,” and annus, “year”).

It is taken literally by some as 1,000 actual years, while others interpret it metaphorically as a long but underdetermined period of time.

There are three basic approaches to the subject of the millennium:

1. Amillennialism: The millennium describes the present reign of the souls of deceased believers with Christ in heaven.

2. Premillennialsim: The present form of God’s kingdom is moving toward a grand climax when Christ will return to establish His kingdom is moving toward a grand climax when Christ will return to establish His kingdom in a literal, visible reign of peace and righteousness on the earth.

3. Postmillennialism: The world will eventually be Christianized, resulting in a long period of peace and prosperity called the millennium.

This future period will close with Christ’s second coming, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment and the eternal state.

The context favors the second view. The 1,000 years are mentioned six times, and there is every reason to take them literally, not allegorically.

The result of sin was clearly visible when Lucifer chose a creature to hide within and stole his way into the first garden.
That creature walked into the presence of Adam; but because of the weight of sin’s consequence, he had to crawl out.

This has been the perfect result of sin for six thousand years.

Sin never leaves with the same beauty with which it enters.

Sin is totally incapable of maintaining the joy of its own action.

By sin’s own nature, it is not capable of one act without leaving a dark mark on its victim.

If the human family could simply gather up the fragments left of anyone overcome by sin and look at it without the facade that Satan has produced, we would hate its every expression.

We see only the obscure lines of age, disease, exhaustion, and brokenness and forget that all of this is the remnant of the fallen nature.

With our naked eyes, we have never seen a man or woman that hasn’t been touched by sin; so, we do not know for what to look.

Sin works deeply, often slowly, but it holds firmly.

When it is finished, nothing is left.

The Bible never covers over this story, but “we see through a glass darkly” (I Cor 13:12).

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and Judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

“Souls of them that were beheaded” – this seems to be the souls of all those believers who died in the tribulation.

“The lived” – the first resurrection.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

“Rest of the dead” – the wicked, referring to all unsaved dead from Cain onward. They will not be raised until after the millennial reign of Christ.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

“Second death” – defined in v. 14 as the “lake of fire.”

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

“Gog and Magog” – symbolize the nations of the world as they band together for a final assault on God. The Old Testament background is Eze 38-39.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were Judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

“Judged…according to their works” – the principle of judgment on the basis of works is taught in Ps 62:12; Jer 17:10; Rom 2:6; 1 Pet 1:17 and elsewhere.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were Judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Democracy Is Not Freedom

by Rep. Ron Paul, MD

…man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts. ~ Ronald Reagan

We’ve all heard the words democracy and freedom used countless times, especially in the context of our invasion of Iraq.

They are used interchangeably in modern political discourse, yet their true meanings are very different.

George Orwell wrote about “meaningless words” that are endlessly repeated in the political arena.

Words like “freedom,” “democracy,” and “justice,” Orwell explained, have been abused so long that their original meanings have been eviscerated.

In Orwell’s view, political words were “Often used in a consciously dishonest way.”
Without precise meanings behind words, politicians and elites can obscure reality and condition people to reflexively associate certain words with positive or negative perceptions.

In other words, unpleasant facts can be hidden behind purposely meaningless language. As a result, Americans have been conditioned to accept the word “democracy” as a synonym for freedom, and thus to believe that democracy is unquestionably good.

The problem is that democracy is not freedom.

Democracy is simply majoritarianism, which is inherently incompatible with real freedom.

Our founding fathers clearly understood this, as evidenced not only by our republican constitutional system, but also by their writings in the Federalist Papers and elsewhere.

James Madison cautioned that under a democratic government,
“There is nothing to check the inducement to sacrifice the weaker party or the obnoxious individual.”

John Adams argued that democracies merely grant revocable rights to citizens depending on the whims of the masses, while a republic exists to secure and protect preexisting rights.

Yet how many Americans know that the word “democracy” is found neither in the Constitution nor the Declaration of Independence, our very founding documents?
A truly democratic election in Iraq, without U.S. interference and U.S. puppet candidates, almost certainly would result in the creation of a Shiite theocracy.

Shiite majority rule in Iraq might well mean the complete political, economic, and social subjugation of the minority Kurd and Sunni Arab populations.
Such an outcome would be democratic, but would it be free?

Would the Kurds and Sunnis consider themselves free?

The administration talks about democracy in Iraq, but is it prepared to accept a democratically-elected Iraqi government no matter what its attitude toward the U.S. occupation? Hardly.

For all our talk a bout freedom and democracy, the truth is we have no idea whether Iraqis will be free in the future.

They’re certainly not free while a foreign army occupies their country. The real test is not whether Iraq adopts a democratic, pro-western government, but rather whether ordinary Iraqis can lead their personal, religious, social, and business lives without interference from government.

Simply put, freedom is the absence of government coercion.

Our Founding Fathers understood this, and created the least coercive government in the history of the world.

The Constitution established a very limited, decentralized government to provide national defense and little else.

States, not the federal government, were charged with protecting individuals against criminal force and fraud.

For the first time, a government was created solely to protect the rights, liberties, and property of its citizens.

Any government coercion beyond that necessary to secure those rights was forbidden, both through the Bill of Rights and the doctrine of strictly enumerated powers.

This reflected the founders’ belief that democratic government could be as tyrannical as any King.

Few Americans understand that all government action is inherently coercive. If nothing else, government action requires taxes.

If taxes were freely paid, they wouldn’t be called taxes, they’d be ca lled donations.
If we intend to use the word freedom in an honest way, we should have the simple integrity to give it real meaning: Freedom is living without government coercion.

So when a politician talks about freedom for this group or that, ask yourself whether he is advocating more government action or less.

The political left equates freedom with liberation from material wants, always via a large and benevolent government that exists to create equality on earth.

To modern liberals, men are free only when the laws of economics and scarcity are suspended, the landlord is rebuffed, the doctor presents no bill, and groceries are given away.

But philosopher Ayn Rand (and many others before her) demolished this argument by explaining how such “freedom” for some is possible only when government takes freedoms away from others.

In other words, government claims on the lives and property of those who are expected to provide housing, medical care, food, etc. for others are coercive — and thus incompatible with freedom.

“Liberalism,” which once stood for civil, political, and economic liberties, has become a synonym for omnipotent coercive government.

The political right equates freedom with national greatness brought about through military strength.

Like the left, modern conservatives favor an all-powerful central state — but for militarism, corporatism, and faith-based welfarism.

Unlike the Taft-Goldwater conservatives of yesteryear, today’s Republicans are eager to expand government spending, increase the federal police apparatus, and intervene militarily around the world.

The last tenuous links between conservatives and support for smaller government have been severed.

“Conservatism,” which once meant respect for tradition and distrust of active government, has transformed into big-government utopian grandiosity.

Orwell certainly was right about the use of meaningless words in politics.

If we hope to remain free, we must cut through the fog and attach concrete meanings to the words politicians use to deceive us.

We must reassert that America is a republic, not a democracy, and rem ind ourselves that the Constitution places limits on government that no majority can overrule.

We must resist any use of the word “freedom” to describe state action.

We must reject the current meaningless designations of “liberals” and “conservatives,” in favor of an accurate term for both: statists.

Every politician on earth claims to support freedom. The problem is so few of them understand the simple meaning of the word.

Revelation 19 – The Marriage Supper of the Lamb & Is America Babylon? Part 2 of 2

If you read part one and part two below you’ll have both sides of the coin, you can decide what you choose to believe. As yesterday, I still stand undecided because there is no point in deciding.  Yet, if I had to decide I would go with this guy because most of what he says in the below article comes from the Bible.

While yesterday’s article was nothing but assumptions built on scripture and world events. No fact is offered.

Yet, I’m not saying that America cannot be Babylon because the Bible does not tell us much about the end time. It does not promote or deny the question.  The entire world is going downhill and if America isn’t in first place they are picking up speed.

On a similar note, politics isn’t really my cup of tea, but I do have a side, so tomorrow we’ll look at…

Revelation 19
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

If there is one star-studded event of all the ages that transcends all others, it must be the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”
The very heart of the Father in creating Adam and Eve and commanding them to multiply was out of a family passion.

He had a family of angels that filled His eternal city with praise, but He also wanted a human family that His Son may be the Bridegroom.

Nothing in His eternity is a surprise to Him. We were chosen from the foundation of the world to bring great joy to His fatherly heart.

It is fitting that the Bible ends in His New Jerusalem, a special city for a special people.

It is the conclusion of His revelations and shows the eternal joys as the Father enjoys His family, both angelic and glorified flesh.

This world is nothing but a sideshow, while the kingdom of God is in preparation to be revealed.

The fallen prince, Satan, has had his time of rebellion while the world makes their choice of whom to serve.

Wickedness grows for its final harvest of sorrows, while righteousness climbs the stairs of grace to its triumph.

The hour of finality is so close that the sense of majesty is in the air.

1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God:

“Alleluia” – occurs four times in vv. 1-6 but nowhere else in the New Testament. It is derived from two Hebrew words meaning “Praise the LORD.”

2 For true and righteous are his Judgments: for he hath Judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

“Marriage of the Lamb” – the imagery of a wedding to express the intimate relationship between God and His people has its roots in the prophetic literature of the Old Testament (e.g., Is 54:5-7; Hos 2:19). Cf. the New Testament usage (Matt 22:2-14; Eph 5:32).

The fact that this marriage takes place in heaven implies that the church has been raptured previously.

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth Judge and make war.

“White horse” – probably not the white horse of 6:2. The context here indicates that the rider is Christ returning as Warrior-Messiah-King.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

“Name written” – a secret name whose meaning is veiled from all created beings.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Rapture watchers, are you perpetually ready for the marriage supper of the lamb after glorious rapture?
The heavenly banquet table is ready!
Don’t be absent at the marriage supper of the lamb event in heavenly new Jerusalem.
Be perpetually rapture ready!

“Vesture dipt in blood” – either the blood of the enemy shed in conflict or the blood of Christ shed to atone for sin.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

“Armies…in heaven” – their robes of white indicate this to be the redeemed church – the bride of Christ – returning in triumph with her heavenly Bridegroom.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

“Supper of the great God” – a grim contrast to the “marriage supper” of the lamb.

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

The glorious rapture and marriage supper of the lamb in heavenly new Jerusalem.

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

“Lake of fire burning with brimstone” – punishment by fire is prominent in both Biblical and non-Biblical Jewish writings (e.g., 1 Enoch 54:1).

Although the designation gehenna is not used here, this is what John refers to (see note on Matt 5:22).

Originally the site of a cultic shrine where human sacrifices were offered (2 Kgs 16:3, 23:10; Jer 7:31), it came to be equated with the “hell” of final judgment in apocalyptic literature.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

“Fowls were filled with their flesh” – the “supper of the great God’ of vv. 17-18.

Is America Babylon?
Part 2 of 2

America Is Not Babylon

by Joseph Chambers

This stela comes from the Temple of Marduk in Babylon and dates from around 800 B.C.
It is a commemorative monument set up in honor of a private individual called Adad-etir.

He was an official in the temple, known as ‘the dagger bearer,’ and this stela was erected by his son Marduk-balassu-iqbi.

The figures carved in relief on the front represent the father and son together.

Their shaven heads show that they are both priests, it being normal in ancient Mesopotamia for a son to adopt his father’s profession.

There are three divine symbols above the two priests: a winged solar disc representing the sun-god Shamash, a crescent of the moon-god Sin and a lion-headed mace on a pedestal.

The cuneiform inscription includes a curse upon anyone who defaces the stela.

It translates:
“May Marduk, the great lord, in anger look upon him, and his name and his seed may he cause to disappear.

May Nabu, the scribe of all, curtail the number of his days.

But may the man who protects it be satisfied with the fulness of life.”

The purity of Holy Scripture is a miracle of miracles. Read any passage in the Bible and then do a little research. You will find clear interpretation for that Scripture.  Words that the Spirit used can never be understood properly by pulling a meaning out of the air.

The word “water” when used as a type is always the Word of God. When God says “Jerusalem,” He means the chosen of God. It is either His chosen city or His chosen people.

Babylon is used in the Bible over 295 times. When the Bible says “Mystery Babylon,” He speaks of a religion that has become evil and corrupt because “Babylon” is the seat of Satan.

When He says “Babylon” without a modifying adjective, He means Babylon the city, which was founded by Nimrod.

To try to identify America as Babylon is utterly contrary to Biblical interpretation. Using that kind of method to study the Bible leads to all kinds of misunderstandings. Always let the Bible interpret itself.

Mystery Babylon is clearly the End Time apostasy of false Christianity.  The 7th chapter of Revelation is the most noted example.

A harlot woman is another Biblical type of corrupt Christianity. A pure woman represents the pure faith of our Lord. The harlot woman is the opposite.

When you put “Mystery Babylon” with the “harlot woman,” you have a double picture of the utter false religion of the Seven Years of Tribulation.

It is religion at its lowest manifestation in human history. This is the church of the Antichrist.

Revelation chapter 18 is the city of Babylon rebuilt in the Southern part of Iraq.  To try to superimpose this chapter into America is contrary to every Biblical principle. There is not one basis for such transliterating of the Holy Bible.

The main reason this is often tried is because our nation has a preponderance of sins. I certainly admit that, but it is not God’s method of understanding the Word of God. What if we did that kind of twisting of all Scripture? Think of the mess it would create with our Bible.

America has got a lot of sins for which we are going to pay. This nation will be subject to all the horrid calamities of the Seven Years of Tribulation.

These calamities are God’s instruments for cleansing the world of abortions, fornications, sodomy, and every unclean lifestyle.

Millions will die and the wicked will learn that sin is always accountable to the Heavenly Father. Before the worst comes, the Saints will be raptured.

But, if the Lord tarries, you may think that the worst has already come even before the Rapture occurs.

Babylon is the city of Babylon and it must be rebuilt to be the capital of the Antichrist Kingdom. It is fitting that his One World Religion that gives him their total worship is called Mystery Babylon.

The unity of the two entities is part of the mystery of wickedness. For the early years of the Seven Years, the Antichrist and his false church will be bosom partners. They will use each other. So, calling one “Babylon” and the other one “Mystery Babylon” is perfect prophecy.

By the end of the Seven Years, the two Babylons will clash and the Antichrist will pour his fury upon Mystery Babylon and burn her with fire.

“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire” (Rev 17:16).

This truth also destroys the idea that both chapters are talking about Rome as Mystery Babylon.

In Daniel 2 King Nebuchadnezzar is given a vision of the timeline of earth’s history from his own kingdom, Babylon, right to the end of time at the second coming of Jesus, represented by the rock that comes and smashes the image.
Now God gave Daniel the meaning of this vision and Daniel was able to relay this interpretation to the king.

38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever (Dan 2:38-44).

How could the Antichrist from literal Babylon burn Mystery Babylon if both are the same Babylon?

Again, the Bible leaves little room for misunderstanding if you let Scripture interpret Scripture.

This totally destroys the thought that America is Babylon. The question is an unanswerable one when we try to put America in some cubbyhole of prophecy. Much of the world is unnamed as you study the Bible.

Basically, the Bible’s prophecy picture is a Middle Eastern setting. You may call us an “Isle of the Sea” and that would put us in the Gog and Magog event.

I personally believe that when the army of Russians and Islamic countries march towards Israel, we will either come to Israel’s defense or suffer great destruction in cities like New York and Washington, DC.

That is still uncertain and our defense of Israel should not be done just to save our own necks.

History, not the Bible, proves that the Great Creator puts America in her wealthy position to spread the Gospel to the four corners of the world.

He also ordained us to win the Second World War and be a partner in the development of the Nation of Israel. Defending Israel since 1948, providing Israel with a faithful partnership, and being her ally right down to the end is absolutely God’s will for our great nation.

Anyone that would undercut that purpose needs to remember that God is still the sole owner and keeper of this Universe.

He can pull down an arrogant president just like He allowed him to be elected. I would suggest that any president or politician should watch his words and actions because God knows all things and Israel is His heartthrob.

America is not Babylon, but America is answerable to God for our grievous sins and for our responsibility to Israel.

…Democracy is Not Freedom, by Ron Paul.

Revelation 18 – The Desolation of Babylon & Is America Babylon? Part 1 of 2

I don’t agree or disagree with the below article.  The United States is arrogant and are bullies, so I do see the author’s point.

Yet, even though the White House became extremely dark and wicked when Old Man Bush stepped into office, there hadn’t been any intelligence there until  Reagan was elected and then for another 24 years there was nothing but evilness, until Trump became president.

Of course, saying that America is not the revised Babylon is debatable.  It doesn’t matter to me because nothing happens that God does not want to happen, he is always in control.

But anyway, we have to look at both sides of things so tomorrow we will look at…

Revelation 18
The Desolation of Babylon

In Is 14 & Eze 28, we see prophecies that seem to be referring to the King of Babylon (Nimrod & Nebuchadnezzar) and also the Prince of Tyre.
But even though in these two prophecies, an earthly king is being described, we know from reading Dan 10:13-20 that for every “ground prince” there is a ruling demon prince (a principality) or a fallen angel.

Hence, the fallen one spoken of in Is 14 & Eze 28 is indeed Satan who also possessed Nimrod, Nebuchadnezzar, and the Prince of Tyre.

There is a very close similarity to Is 14 & Eze 28 that shows us that these prophecies are about Satan himself as well as the earthly vessels who were being used to carry out his evil plans.

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen” – the double phrase is for emphasis and certainty

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

“Come out of her” – a common prophetic warning (cf. 52:11; Jer 51:45; 2 Cor 6:27).

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

“I sit a queen, and am no widow” – the ungodly system refuses to see itself as it really is.

8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

18-9-20 – three groups lament: (1) kings (v. 9), (2) merchants (v. 11), and (3) sailors (v. 17).  The passage is modeled after Ezekiel’s laments over Tyre (Eze 27).

Fifteen of the 29 commodities in vv. 12-13 are also listed in Eze 27:12-22.

“Kings…bewail her, and lament” – probably because of their own great financial loss.

The Tower Building (named after the Tower of Babel) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe.
It is certainly a building of the Space Age.
The seats are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machines.
The legislative amphitheater is arranged in a massive hemicircle and has 679 seats, each assigned to a particular lawmaker.

While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied.

The number of that seat is 666.

The relevant section of the seating-plan provided to each Member reads as follows:

* 661 Montfort
* 662 Quiero
* 663 Souchet
* 664 Thomas-Mauro
* 665 Zizzner
* 666 ——-

Rev 13:18 states: “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” That is 666.

Today this Scripture is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

The Antichrist’s seat will be occupied.

The world awaits his full and final development.

The Lord will destroy him by the spirit of His mouth (the Word of God) and by the brightness of His coming (2 Thess 2:8).

The coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy Judgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

“Purple” – an expensive dye since it must be extracted a drop at a time from the murex shellfish.

“Thyine wood” – an expensive dark wood from north Africa – used for inlay work in costly furniture.

13 And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

“Shipmaster” – the pilot of the ship rather than the owner.  Both are mentioned in Acts 27:11.

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

“Cast dust on their heads” – an act of sorrow and dismay (see Eze 27:30).

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

“Great millstone” – similar to the large millstone of Mk 9:42, which was actually a “donkey millstone” (one large enough to require a donkey to turn it).

The Brussels EU Parliament Building Enterior
The European Union (EU) parliament, consisting of 785 members, is in Brussels, Belgium.

Quite magnificent, is it not? Interestingly, the seat numbered 666 is never occupied.

Perhaps they are leaving it open for someone special?…The Antichrist!

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Babylon America’s Nuclear Destruction
Is Coming

by Michael Clinton

Revelation 17 & 18 not Rome or Iraq

Many think that Mystery Babylon is America, or Italy (Rome), because it is a powerful, but sinful, country.
Actually, every nation now is a sinful country, so America is not that unique in this.

I have read Revelation 18 & 19 many times. Every time I read them I think it looks like a description of America.

The majority of Bible teachers tell us this is about Rome or the literal city of Babylon, but there are serious problems with these views.

The Babylon described in Revelation 17&18 is at the end of the age, it has a deep water port, it is totally destroyed, never to rise again. This is not true of ancient Babylon or Rome.

Did God Not See America?

Did God not see the most powerful, wealthy, influential nation to arise ever on the earth? I think he did, and America appears to be Babylon the Great.

In the same way that the Roman Empire was symbolized by Rome and the kingdom of Babylon was represented by the city of Babylon, so America here is symbolized by a city, probably New York.

America’s Symbols Came From Babylon

Even the symbols of America came from Babylon. We may think they are Roman or Greek but they got them from Babylon.

The Statue of Liberty, for instance, is actually a replica of the Babylonian goddess Ishtar the Mother of Harlots and the goddess of Freedom/Liberty. The Statue of the Goddess of Liberty topping the U.S. Capitol building dome is also Ishtar.

Standing guard at the entrance to the U.S. Capitol Building is a statue of the Greek god Mars.

According to the U.S. Library of Congress and the Office of the Architect of the Capitol, the Greeks borrowed the god Mars and the religious dogmas from the Babylonians.

There are many maps concerning the division of Babylon America, and the most often you see is called the “Navy map”.
There are now a number of so-called Navy maps out there.

But here is one:
These maps vary somewhat from each other.

Remember also that if a major quake were to hit Fema Region III, it could well set the stage for The New Madrid Fault Breaking Loose.

This in turn could trigger the Mid-Continent Rift to trigger, thus bringing the Division of America.

In other words, the Region III quake would be the first Domino to fall in a whole series of massive quakes, which would result in the waters from the Gulf of Mexico inundating the inland regions of the mid-west, wiping out inland cities.

In reality Baal stands guard at the U.S. Capitol entrance.  The entire concept of the U.S. Capitol building was borrowed from Rome’s pagan temple dedicated to all the gods of Rome – it was called The Pantheon – yet, the Romans borrowed the concept from Babylon.

It was explicitly the desire of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to have this concept in the Capitol’s design; therefore, they rigged the bidding process to make sure this design included this “Babylonian” concept of the “Pantheon of the gods.”

Judgment Must Come

When I read about the slaughter of over 55,000,000 babies, the carnage of all the innocent people in the wars that are strictly for the greed of a few, the drugs being brought in by our own country by the CIA, the deaths of all the people who have tried to expose this, the drug programs like MK – ULTRA and Project Artichoke, Satanic ritual abuse of children among the elite of the country, the legal protection of sexual perversion, the corruption of morals worldwide through our music and entertainment, and the near total absence of any warning from the pastors in this land, I know  that God will not let this go unpunished.

“The main reason why I — along with many others — believe that America is the Babylon talked about in Revelation 18 is because of several verses that, when considered collectively, lead us to conclude that America is the only country that fulfills all of the parameters listed in the verses.

Let us examine what the scriptures say about this modern day end-times Babylon and see how they undeniably point to America.

1. End-times Babylon is a great nation that receives judgment for its many sins.

“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird” (Rev. 18:2).

2. This nation is a superpower and has world dominance and importance. It has also spread its corruption to the world.

“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her” (Rev. 18:3).

The Way of The Former Roman Empire is The Way of The United States
The United States could correctly be likened to a huge glacier that has – through the years of its being – run a broad and seemingly non- interruptible course through the world panorama, a course that emphasized its power and magnificence and illumined a connected series of divinely enhanced events, actions and developments throughout its diachronic existence.

Unfortunately there has also been concomitantly a broad and morality dissipating U.S. national progression that has extraordinarily eroded its base and shorn from it the last steadying vestiges of the anchoring social and spiritual appendages that brought it into being and helped greatly to steady the journey and to stabilize the course of the whole of the mass.

The United States now rests on the precipice of last hope, overlooking a sheer chasm of despair, and struggles frantically to hang on to the last vestiges of promise as it struggles against a nation of a collectively polluted morality and clings to a now mostly vanished – and neigh onto impossible to recover given the apostasy that is upon it – promise of its former glory and greatness.

With a will born of desperation the people and their political leaders cling to a grudging hold on the nation’s former glory.

Like that glacier previously mentioned this nation is slipping from that last desperate grip and is poised for a final slide into the boiling brine that will forever dissolve its greatness and dissipate into nothingness the residuals of its former glory and magnificence.

It will be an ignoble end to a greatly noble dream.

As with Jericho, God has set into motion the cadence of that final march around the borders of this nation that will precipitate the collapse and eternal extinction of what was arguably the greatest nation to ever exist on this earth.

The nation runs wobbly on, but its continuance is mostly fueled by the illustriousness of its previous existence and glory, in other words an inertia born of God’s divinely and blessedly bestowed gift of magnificence and prominence.

Secular Humanism – A Blueprint for Disaster

“The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied” (Prov 13:4).

“For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living” (2 Thess 3:11-12).

“Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice; you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech. In little more than a year you will shudder, you complacent women; for the grape harvest fails, the fruit harvest will not come. Tremble, you women who are at ease, shudder, you complacent ones; strip, and make yourselves bare, and tie sackcloth around your waist. Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitf

ul vine, for the soil of my people growing up in thorns and briers, yes, for all the joyous houses in the exultant city…” (Is 32:9-20).

Upon close inspection intelligent thinking people ought to be able to discern the source of the liberal/progressive ideology, it is an ideology spawned by the demonic realm under the auspices of that dragon of old Satan, and it has been diligently pursued by our exceedingly ignorant politicians as a birthright and as a cradle to grave doctrine emphasizing a person’s supposed innate capacity for self-realization.

This though none can exist or prosper without the staying hand of God…None!

Man was created in the image of God.

God hates sloth and feigned whining helplessness; He has equipped mankind with the tools to make His world one of worth and great dignity.

Satan, who looks upon men as usurpers of what he believes to be rightfully his despises mankind and continually endeavors to eliminate the whole of mankind from God’s creation. In the United States he has made great headway in this quest…thanks to the liberal/progressive community, particularly the satanically endowed Elite and the collective of spiritually deprived politicians who carry out the debilitating programs hatched in the mind of Satan, the greatest criminal in the Universe.

3. The merchants of the world are made rich through trading with this nation. This nation consumes huge amounts of goods.

“And the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies” (Rev. 18:3).

“And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men” (Rev. 18:11–13).

4. This nation is proud and arrogant and considers herself to be invincible and the greatest nation on earth.

“How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow” (Rev. 18:7).

5. This nation is typified by an extravagant lifestyle.

“And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!” (Rev. 18:16).

6. Other nations are controlled by her and given great riches by her.

“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her” (Rev. 18:9).

7. This nation is a coastal nation, with deep water ports and much international trade.

“And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off” (Rev. 18:17).

8. This nation has defenses in the heavens.

“Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the Lord” (Jer. 51:53).

Repeatedly we are told in Rev. 17&18 that Babylon the Great will be totally destroyed by a fire that will cause the mourners to stand at a great distance.

What kind of fire would cause this? What kind of fire would result in a land that could no longer be inhabited? How many Chernobyls and Fukushimas would be the result of sudden nuclear attack on our country?

Yes, it looks like America is Babylon the Great and that sometime in the future nuclear destruction will be the price we pay for rejecting God. I wish it were not true.
